Section 301 of the Sarbanes-Oxley law states that any public company failing to implement a "complaint notification system" by April 26, 2004 faces delisting from the stock market. Among other things, the law requires an anonymous tip-line accessible to company employees, third parties, such as competitors and vendors, and consumers to record any unethical or questionable activities.
