LiveBridge Alliance with Astute Solutions Provides
"Whistle Blower" Hotline for Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Requirements
Joint efforts produce an important audit trail solution for public companies rushing to
comply with new Securities and Exchange Commission requirements
COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 1, 2004 – LiveBridge, Inc. a global contact center services company
and Astute Solutions, a customer care call center solution provider, today introduced Sarbanes-Oxley Alert,
a complaint notification system for public companies hoping to avoid delisting by the stock market as
mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.
Section 301 of the Sarbanes-Oxley law states that any public company failing to implement
a "complaint notification system" by April 26, 2004 faces delisting from the stock market. Among other things,
the law requires an anonymous tip-line accessible to company employees, third parties, such as competitors and
vendors, and consumers to record any unethical or questionable activities.
"Our service will bring peace of mind to companies looking for this type of insurance protection,"
said John Bartholomew, executive vice president of global business development at LiveBridge. "We're confident this
provides a safe and anonymous solution for public companies."
The Sarbanes-Oxley Alert service can be set up in as little as three to five days. It offers
issue tracking and reporting software combined with 24x7 call center agent availability. The service offers anonymity
to callers, an audit trail and timely notification and reporting via Web access. The service also allows reporting of
sexual harassment complaints, theft reporting and risk mitigation.
"With the deadline for compliance fast approaching, we are seeing increased a demand for these types
of audit-trail systems," said Clark Woodford, vice president of sales Astute Solutions. "The Sarbanes Oxley Alert
provides a complete, easy-to-implement complaint notification system, enabling organizations to focus their efforts
on other requirements of the Act."
Enacted by President Bush on July 30, 2002, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act mandated significant changes
in the responsibilities of corporate officers, directors, and other professionals. The Act was a direct result
of the large-scale corporate and accounting scandals in the United States involving some of Americas most well
known companies.
