COLUMBUS, Ohio, October 16, 2007 -Leading the charge to help consumer-focused companies differentiate through service excellence, Astute Solutions (www.astutesolutions.com) today announced its inclusion on the Software Magazine’s 25th annual Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers. The company’s growth helped to advance its position by over 75 slots on the list as compared to last year’s ranking.
“Astute Solutions is focused on partnering with consumer-driven companies to help them forge lasting relationships with their customers,” said Astute Solutions’ President and CEO, Joseph Sanda. “Earning a ranking for two consecutive years from a respected resource like Software Magazine reaffirms that we are focused in the right area.”
Astute Solutions’ contact center automation, customer relationship management, and knowledge management solutions (which include ePowerCenterTM and RealDialogTM) help organizations deliver superior service interactions across all touch points (phone, email, chat, and self-service). The company’s advanced technology enables businesses to capture and analyze valuable customer insights for enterprise-wide visibility into their needs. This insight drives customer satisfaction and retention, improvements in products and services, and numerous other tangible benefits.
“The 2007 Software 500 results show that growth in the software and services industry was healthy from 2006 to 2007, the ranking year,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “The industry continues to be dynamic with more than 98 new companies on the list this year for the first time. The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners. It is a quick reference of vendor viability.”
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2006. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents. Some 37 percent of the 2006 Software 500 companies are privately held.
